Over the past few years, AI has dramatically transformed many areas of business and education. It holds great potential to also influence osteopathic education and clinical practice — bringing both exciting possibilities and important challenges. 

The upcoming Open Forum 2026 marks a special milestone — the 10th edition of the “Open Forum for Osteopathic Education” conference which will take place in Amsterdam on November 5 & 6, 2026. This year’s theme, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Osteopathy: opportunities & threats,” invites us to explore how AI is reshaping our profession, our classrooms, and our research. 

We warmly invite you to submit your abstract on research or best practice in one of the following areas. Deadline for submitting abstracts is December 31, 2025.


AI in osteopathic clinical practice

  • Sensible and controlled use of AI in students' assignments
  • Detection of AI use in essays, theses, etc.

  • Brainstorming

  • Finding/creating illustrations/videos

  • Writing exam questions (and multiple-choice answers)

  • Creating an exam-chatbot to supplement/replace examiners
